Tina Wang is a multi-instrumentalist and a sought out music instructor based in Vancouver, BC.  Recognized as a 'Teacher of Distinction by the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2018, Tina is passionate and dedicated to music teaching, performing, accompaniment and the art of chamber music.

Tina believes strongly in the importance of diversity of music genres and can be found involved in different music projects around Vancouver, ranging from classical to modern, popular and anime music on the saxophone and piano.  She has performed as a soloist with the SFUCO, and events with the Royal Conservatory of Music - BC region and CMC-BC Chapter events. When not on the saxophone, she was a past pianist for Opus Arise and the Flying Tonkatsu Anime Ensemble. She is currently actively playing with the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble and involved in other projects.

Tina is on the faculty at the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM) and teaches at her saxophone studio, Phoenix Music Academy.  Her studio features many students who placed in music festivals, BCMEA honour band, the Canada Wind Band and the National Youth Band of Canada, and students furthering music studies in various U.S. and Canadian universities with prestigious saxophone programs. Tina's teachings draw inspirations and influences from many of the professional music educators she studied with over the years.

​Tina holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the UBC School of music and an Artist Diploma from the Vancouver Academy of Music. Tina is a Silverstein Artist-Educator, Key Leave Artist,  and Backun Artist. She is also a board member of the Canadian Music Competition (BC Chapter) and a member of the North American saxophone Alliance and BC Registered Music Teachers Association (Richmond).
